Patrick & Claire, a couple from the US and Canada respectively, decided to invest on a Golden Visa to get more quality time with their family in a place that they feel is perfect for their 3 children to be safe and happy.
"I noticed that I needed more work-life balance, and not long after meeting Claire - my wife - I chose to become an independent real estate developer, using my past experience working in the field as an engineer. I was well versed and well equipped to start my business, and became quite successful in Toronto"
Patrick is from the US - he is 48 years old, and worked as an engineer for several years after graduating from MIT. Claire is from Toronto, Canada.
His company was booming, and his family was growing. Still, he and Claire - a certified yoga instructor who owns a wellness retreat centre in the countryside not far from Toronto - wanted more life quality, and started to plan for a future they felt would be more beneficial to their 3 children.
They also longed to find community and like minded people wherever they chose to move to - and after spending some perfect holidays in Portugal, it became clear for both of them that this was the place they'd been dreaming of.

After the first call, the migration adviser provided a roadmap and a tailored proposal for the Golden Visa process. They were assigned with an account manager to take care of the process.

Applying for a Visa
After all the bureaucracy was done, and the application was finally approved, Claire moved to Portugal full time with the kids, while Patrick continued working in Toronto and traveling to Portugal to visit the family.
